I always find Torii Gates in Japan fascinating and impressive-looking, especially when they are located out at sea. When I see a Torii Gate built near the shore or out in the waters, it gives off a mystical vibe and sometimes seems a bit surreal to me (in a good way). Hence I decided to start an AI artwork project about Torii Gates on waters where boats and ships can pass by. As I was working on the project, I started to wonder what it would feel like to go through one of these traditional Japanese gates via a boat or ship. It’s a pity I can only imagine the experience.
