We probably know more about Mars’s surface than our own sea. There are potentially tons of species yet discovered deep within the ocean. The question is what kind of species remained hidden in the darkness? Imagine yourself all excited as you walk on the seabed, wondering what type of animal/fish you might encounter. Then suddenly a monstrosity of the deep swim towards you with its mouth wide open. It has no eyes and it is acting on pure instinct. When it detects potential prey, the blind monstrous fish will simply attack without a 2nd thought.
