Imagine deep diving into the merciless sea during the night with only one source of light. As you swim deeper and deeper into the abyss, this is when the light source you have starts to dwindle. I can already imagine how terrifying it would be, it is as if the darkness is slowly crawling towards you from all corners of the sea. The lesser your light shines, the bolder the darkness encroaches. Now I am starting to imagine trying to swim to the surface without any light source. How would you know you are swimming in the right direction? What a nightmare it would be, to me.
