Never truly understood why some villains need to have their evil lairs located on islands with active volcanoes. I guess it is to look cooler and menacing, but still rather dangerous. Furthermore, the heat from the lava is bad for the equipment and machinery, making them overheat easily. I am probably overthinking too much about this.
