In the future, buildings are built to hover above the city. Part of the reasoning is due to the scarcity of land, but mainly because the ones who can afford to develop such buildings prefer to be away from densely populated areas. As more of such futuristic floating buildings appear above the city, the skylines are now totally changed. Now you can only see vast buildings blocking the sun, and if you want to see the blue sky, you will need to travel outwards. Some residents prefer to see these new futuristic skylines though, as they seem to find comfort by looking at them.
